Jazzercize is out. Zumba is in. But instructor Kelsea Wiggan is not going down without a fight. Armed with pep, a petition, and her conflict-averse co-instructor, Kelsea is determined to keep Jazzercise alive at the Chikatawnee Valley Community Center.

A real Jazzercize class, happening in real time, featuring real class participants (a who’s who of local talent, see list below!), The Last Class asks what happens when you invest your life in a dying franchise: When do you double down on a dream deferred? How big a failure is too big to just “sweat it out?”

The Klunch was waaay past thrilled (seriously, it’s embarrassing!) to present the original Dodo production, featuring the original direction and original cast, which played to packed houses in both cities, spring and summer of the same year.

The Klunch presents Dodo: A Theater Collective’s production of The Last Class: A Jazzercize Play, written by Megan Hill, directed Margot Bordelon, starring Megan Hill and Amy Staats, with class participants Kathleen Akerley (Sat 3p), Judith Baicich (Sat 8p), Sara Barker (Sat 3p), Melissa Bustamante (Fri 8p), Sara Cormeny (Sat 8p), Kate Debelack (Sun 3p), Kris Roth (Sun 3p), and Christina Ruppert (Fri 8p). Choreographed by Sarita Lou, lights by David C. Ghatan, stage management by Laura Schlachtmeyer.
